We are all about “Made in America,” except when it comes to men and needles. For shooting Botox it’s all about
importing needles from Japan and Italy. These days those needles are the most coveted import making the rounds in Hollywood. The Mesorelle (Italian) and TSK (Japanese) are the Prada of needles — a bit more expensive than the commonly used brands and far more delicate. Since they are shorter in length and smaller in width, it allows doctors to be more precise with the injections.
”You can barely feel it, and there’s very little bruising,” says Dr. Raj Kanodia, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who is always up on the latest technology. Four years ago, he discovered the needles at a medical conference in Europe; and patients instantly became hooked, demanding that their furrowed brows be pierced only with the Made in Italy or Japan labels. One client told us she “can’t even feel the injections.” No more waiting on pins and needles for the next injection.
