NUMBING THE WRINKLES

juvederm4For years women have endured pain to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.  But the FDA has finally followed Canada and Europe by approving a numbing agent to go in the popular wrinkle fillers, Restylane and Juviderm.  “Within three seconds of shooting in the filler the area will be numb,” says Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon, Andrew Frankel who is now stocking the new and improved fillers. “It makes a huge difference.”

These products have  a small amount of lidocaine, a commonly used local anesthetic, to help minimize the discomfort of the procedure.  According to the studies, the fill effect of the products is unchanged, but 90% of the patients tested said the new products made the treatments more comfortable than the standard formulation.
Also, be sure to ask your doctor for the form to get the Restalyne rebate. By simply filling out your name, address and proof of purchase – you’ll get a check mailed to your home.

My issue with treatments such as this is that they NEVER look natural. Even the photo above looks like she’s had work done, which really only makes a personal look even older.

I use Botox and my face can still move, you can’t really tell I do.
