At Beauty Undercover we are always trying to find out what the opposite sex thinks about certain cosmetic trends. Hair extensions have become as popular as product – put them in, and your mane is instantly transformed! But what do men really think about temporary tresses? Most men we polled seem to like the way they look, but not they way they feel.
As one guy so eloquently put it, “They’re like breast implants. If they look good, we like them. If they look strange, we talk about them. But there’s nothing inherently wrong with them.” Most weren’t so kind. Another sputtered, “They look good, but feel gross. Unnerving every time.” In the video below, Wayne Brady lets us know about hair extensions and so much more.
I know that if I wore them, my hubby would just laugh at me, because no matter how good they may look, they aren’t real! Where I live (way out in the “sticks”) people don’t do things like this, no cosmetic surgery, no fake anything.
basically he’s saying, everything in moderation or not at all. i agree wholeheartedly.
When I got married, my hair was kind of short/mid length..kind of past my chin but above my shoulders. I was worried that it wouldn’t look nice enough for the wedding, so I started to fret about saving up for extensions. I asked my husband what he thought, and he totally shot d0wn the idea. He thought extensions would look silly and he preferred my hair shorter rather than longer. It was a huge relief and my hair looked just fine. I’m quite relieved that I didn’t blow that much money on something he wouldn’t have even liked. I’ve thought about getting them again from time to time, but then I see people who have them and have that awful Britney look where its totally obvious, and they don’t know it because it’s only crappy looking at the back of their head…that right there talks me out of it.

I one time tried out my best friend’s clip in extensions as a joke and wound up wearing them to a party to test drive them for fun. When my boyfriend came to pick me up, he was really irritated by them asking me, “who I was trying to be?”.
Equally peeved, I argued that when he sees them on people like Jessica Simpsosn-they’re “hot” not “weird”….”why is it not the same on me?” “Can I not be just as hot?”
He then responded, “I fell in love with you the way you are-without fake hair, fake lashes or a fake tan…why are you tyring to cover that up?”
Havent clipped in, glued on, or airbrushed since.

If you are a female and you like the way extensions look – get them. It is your body, your hair, your look. Why cares what a guy thinks, even your boyfriend? Stop worrying about what men think and do what you want to do with your body.
