IS BALD BEAUTIFUL?

It may look like a menopause nightmare but bald heads and facial hear were on display at Patrick Mohr’s Berlin Fashion Show this month.  Both male and female models were sporting the  look which got us to thinking about how both sexes have to worry about possible hair loss.  It isn’t just men dealing with balding these days.

So what’s a girl to do?  We enlisted the help of  Dr. Peter Goldman who treats a number of Hollywood’s newly thinning  or, shall we say, follically challenged – A-list.  He isn’t running your typical hair club for men.  Especially since half of his clients are women.  Dr. Goldman treats women with monthly injections to help thicken the hair.  He also says Rogaine does wonders for helping women with hair loss.  It doesn’t seem fair that women can have thinning on the scalp but new hairs popping out on the chin!

I’m not even in menopause yet….I’m probably peri-menopause and my hair is starting to thin. It really is not fair :) When my budget/insurance allows, I’m sure I will see a doctor for it in the future!

I’ve been using Rogaine for a year (started last July 1), and it does seem to be working. I buy the Rogaine foam for men (higher dosage than the women’s) and I only use it once a day after my shower, even though it says to use twice day. So, if it’s working for me once a day, it probably would be even better twice a day. I don’t put it on right before bed, and I suppose I should. I just didn’t like having “crispy” feeling hair in the morning, but I guess that’s not such a big deal. When I put it on after showering, it’s probably diluted and goes on like a mousse, so it doesn’t show, etc. Hope this made sense. I’m in a rush.

Seriously, why does the chin hair grow and the hair on the top of my head have to think about it?
