Want to have a flat stomach for summer? It seems short bursts of high intensity exercise and resistance training may be better than endless crunches, according to one exercise expert. We hear the Miami-based personal trainer, Marco Borges, whose clients include stars such as Shakira and Beyonce, swears by a mix of cardiovascular exercise and weight-training to shrink the stomach.
Those short bursts of high intensity exercise apparently trigger the release of adrenaline, a hormone that instructs the body to burn stored fat. Combining that with resistance training is supposed to be a good way to target fat around the waist.
But if you don’t want anyone to see you sweat, there’s something called “the natural tummy tuck” that is designed to work wonders. It mixes LED therapy with electro-acupuncture. It’s a program designed out of the UK to melt away the fat. (We want to know when that’s coming to the US!) Can we really quit doing crunches?
