There are reports this morning that Demi Moore is allegedly addicted to the drug Adderall. In Hollywood, a number of starlets apparently take the drug. The attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) drug Adderall — has some experts concerned over the growing number of prescriptions be dished out. One actress told Beauty Undercover that a number of female celebrities have used prescription Adderall, even if they have not been diagnosed with ADHD. And we were also told that some people have resorted to crushing and snorting these pills as a way to deliver a quicker effect.
ADHA is an illness that must be treated with doctors. enough of these” hollywood” people trying to get away with changing the nature of the lives they have. Exercise and self control will go along way if you aren’t under a doctors care……..
ADDERAL is just the latest ADHD drug being abused – seems like every few years there’s a “new” ADD drug meant for children that some parent discovers will “help” them have more energy/lose weight/keep up, etc. etc. etc. This has been going on for years… it was even a storyline a few years back on “Desperate Housewives”! Perhaps its time for more studies into the “Non-stimulant” drugs like Intuniv…. Unfortunately, if one of the side-effects of ANY drug is weight-loss, it will be abused as soon as enough people find out about it & “share” the info w/friends! Maybe we ought to look at WHY women constantly feel the need to be ever thinner….. starting w/the fashion industry & their ridiculous, emaciated models resembling some 3rd-world country’s famine-victim!?!?!? You know, when Angelina Jolie is thinner than the famine-stricken people she’s trying to help, maybe it’s time to say “ENOUGH!”
Adderall is not a new drug, it’s been around for decades. Some ADHD patients prefer it because it’s not as edgy as other ADHD meds. Longterm use, even for what it’s intended to treat comes with side effects like high blood pressure, heart palpitations and habituation. Taking it to lose a few extra pounds is incredibly stupid.
i was prescribed Adderall for adhd…and i did lose weight…it also gave me acne and backne…and at 43..
i decided i wasn’t interested in the later again…
