Salma Hayek is simply stunning and everyone wants her beauty secrets. Recently she gave one up to a European talk show host: ‘OK, one tip – always wash your face at night. Clean it. ‘You don’t have to wash it, but you have to clean it really, really well at night.’ The From Dusk Till Dawn star said: ‘One strange tip – don’t wash it in the morning, at all, never. Because at night your skin is rebuilding some of the oils that you need to keep your skin young, and it balances the PH. ‘So in the morning if you take them off – you can splash it with water, do something mild – but you don’t want to get rid of that. And if your skin is dirty in the morning, it means you didn’t clean well at night.’ Read more.
Wow, I have really wondered this because of the creams I use on my face at night. My face still feels great in the morning if I followed a good cleaning and creaming at night. Following her lead.
I was told this in modeling school and used to follow it. I believe I’ll return to this habit!
I don’t really pay attention to “star secrets” unless they actually look almost the same as when they have on a full face of make up because other wise they seem to be the ones in need of some tips because they look like death warmed over with out the make up.
Totally with her on this bit of advice. It makes sense and I’ve done it for years. Besides, if your bedding is clean, your face doesn’t get dirty while you sleep. For me, it’s a waste of product and over dries my skin if I wash 2x a day.
I learned this tip in modeling school and fell away from it over the years. I’m going to return to it!
