In anticipation of the September 13th release of her fourteen-piece capsule makeup collection with Estée Lauder, Victoria Beckham, shared a five-minute makeup video on Monday with Vogue. The talented designer/singer/working mother has learned from the best-of-the-best in beauty — from Pat McGrath and Val Garland to Charlotte Tilbury. Now Beckham is sharing some of her own tricks of the trade. For The Lauder collection, Beckham’s process was to create pieces that she wanted to wear herself. The self-proclaimed makeup junkie, 42, has been hoarding favorite products since she was eighteen, amassing an incredible collection of “makeup relics,” which she shared with Lauder.
Beckham has curated four inspired grouping, representing her favorite cities: London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Each city features up to eight products. “I want to make it really, really easy to get this look,” Beckham says. “If I can do it as a busy working mom with four children, anybody can. You don’t have to be a professional makeup artist. This doesn’t have to take up huge amounts of time.” Highlights from the collection include an illuminating foundation primer, a fresh and modern matte, orange-based lipstick, several shimmering eye shadows (which can be applied dry or wet), and even a limited-edition makeup box rigged with professional lighting.
