It seems the hottest spa in Southern California these days is in Orange County. The Spa at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach is all the rage with such celebrities as Kate Hudson and Felicity Huffman. Which is why makeup artists for everyone from Reese Witherspoon to George Clooney to Megan Fox scour these stores. Like the Valley itself, there’s no pretense, it’s all about the collection and the collectors. Only true beauty junkies and professionals know theses stores even exist.
It feels more like an international flea market or a high-end Parisian drugstore stacked with brands you don’t see everywhere like Embryolisse and Le Peau.
