THE EYE-BROWSER

EYEBROWIt’s all about the eyebrows.  Just ask brow guru and makeup artist Robert Bolanos who delights editors with his perfectly arched eyebrows and flawless application of makeup.  He is indispensable to countless actors, agents, managers and studio executives.

Beauty Undercover:  What is your best advice for a tweezer-happy gal?
Robert Bolanos: Tweezer-happy gals need to look or imagine the correct balance of the
eyebrow to frame their own eyes and face shape.  Taking one or two eyebrow hairs from
one side does not mean you do the same to the other side.  Step away and take a look
at what you really might need to tweeze from the other side.  Some times the answer is

THE BRUSH OFF

SUNFORGETABLEWhat: Sunforgettable/ColoreScience Pro

Why: We all know to “Reapply sunscreen every two hours.”  But let’s face
it – there are times we simply forget.  And don’t we all despise
putting on a full-face of makeup after the gym?  Now there is a
product that puts an end to slathering on sunscreen in the car and
gives the skin the perfect glow with one simple stroke of the brush.
ColoreScience Pro has come up with a powder makeup/sunscreen that
does it all.  In addition to acting as a sunscreen it also
gives the skin a little coverage. What we love most, however, is the
convenient Sunforgettable SPF 30 Brush.  The retractable goat bristle
brush releases the perfect amount of product, available in three
colors in either matte or sparkle, for quick and easy application.

Eco-friendly: Packaging is refillable, recyclable and reusable — how green!
No gal should leave home without a fully-loaded tube of
Sunforgettable in her bag!

The price: $49.95, but remember you’re
getting both makeup and sunscreen.

IT’S ALL ABOUT TWILIGHTS!

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

robert-pattinson_lLater this month young girls will be lining up to see Rob Pattison in the new Twilight film. Not only has the film spawned a love
for vampires, but Pattisons highlights have started a new trend. That is all thanks to Beverly Hills colorist and salon-owner,
Stuart Gavert, who coined the word for Pattison’s hair “twilights.” It’s something we should all know about since it can save money
and time with fewer trips to the hairdresser. (more…)

THE LAST WRINKLE IN BOTOX

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

A new form of topical Botox may just take the sting out of the botox
doctor’s office visit, by removing the need for painful injections.
But don’t get too excited quite yet since it still needs government
approval.  However, we’re told the studies look promising.
Revance Therapeutics is trying to gain FDA approval for the Botox gel
to be used around  the crow’s feet.  (more…)
