HOW TO EXERCISE IN A WAIST TRAINER?

Celebrities such as Khloé and Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Brooke Burke-Charvet, and even Kim from the Real Housewives, have incorporated gym waist trainers into their fitness routines.  While the garments appear to simply apply compression to the mid-section, acting as a girdle, these ladies have credited them as the ultimate shape-shifters.  So how does the gym waist trainer actually work?  According to fitness guru, Bianca Jade (above), garments like the Amia Active Band are specifically designed to increase thermal activity in the core, ramping up perspiration during a workout.  How does an Undercover Agent score a personal workout with Jade?  The fashionista and fitness blogger teamed up with Hourglass Angel to produce a series of brief exercise videos focusing on core strength and development, aptly called, “no excuses.”In the top photograph, Jade demonstrates how to do a bridge pose/hip thrust with a waist trainer.  Lying on her back, with her knees bent and arms at her side, she simply pushes down on her heels as she lifts her hips.  “Notice how the waist trainer helps your back stay flat?  This helps engage your core and your glutes,” explains Jade, who recommends 4 sets of 25 repetitions to target the back, abdomen and chest.  In the bottom image, Jade shares how to perform leg lifts with a waist trainer.  “The waist trainer helps support your back and helps you fully engage your muscles. Plus, it stimulates thermal activity in your core for a much more intense workout, “explains Jade.  As she lies on her back, she keeps her back and hips in contact with the floor as she lifts her legs up to 45-degree angle.  Performing 4 sets of 15 repetitions, this exercise  targets the abdomen, obliques, and chest.
