Kerry Washington appeared on the red carpet of Monday night’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit wearing an edgy patchwork gown by Michael Kors. Celebrity Makeup Artist, Carola Gonzalez, helped create a makeup look to complement its futuristic style. “I gave Kerry a minimal eye with a modern, punk twist and kept the skin and lips to a bare minimum.”
So which products did Gonzalez use on the Neutrogena Brand Ambassador? After prepping the skin with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum, she applied Hydro Boost Hydrating Concealer in Deep under the eye area and then evened out Washington’s skin tone with the brand’s new Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint in Cocoa. “This is Neutrogena’s new foundation with Hyaluronic acid, which provides 24 hour hydration, gives great coverage, it’s long lasting, and creates a radiant, healthy complexion without having to use any additional enhancers on the skin.” For a beautiful flush, she applied Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends to the apples of Washington’s cheeks, blending upwards.
Gonzalez kept Washington’s eyes “very minimal and simple” with Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-In Primer in Cocoa Mauve (Shade #4) all over the eyelid and along the bottom lash line, before lining the top lashes with Sisley Paris Phyto Khol Perfect Eyeliner in Snow. Next she affixed a top strip of Ardell Faux Mink 810 lashes and coated with Healthy Volume Mascara in Carbon Black. For more defined brows Gonzalez filled in Washington’s own with Anastasia’s Brow Wiz in Brunette.

Posing with her Glam Squad, Takisha Sturdivant-Drew and Carola Gonzalez, Kerry Washington slayed the red carpet at the NAACP Awards last week. “When I saw her Prabal Gurung dress I was truly inspired to give her some voluminous sultry curls,” shared Takisha. “I felt her hair should be effortless with volume and color, yet soft and pretty especially with the side part. The color around her face gave the hair a youthful look as well.” So how can you steal Kerry’s hairstyle?
Takisha began by shampooing Kerry’s hair with Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo. Then she conditioned with Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. “The conditioner gave Kerry’s hair a really nice shine as well as softened her strands. Most of all, it keeps her hair healthy!” Next she blew out the damp hair with a comb attachment to smooth her strands out, leaving some volume in the hair. Then she curled her hair with a with a 1 and a half inch Marcel iron. Taking medium-size sections, Takisha lifted the hair at the roots and curled her hair to the ends. She but gave her “reverse curls,” meaning some clockwise and some counter clockwise. To complete the hairstyle, Takisha parted Kerry’s hair on the left side and clipped in some matching TSDHair extensions, from the middle to the top of the back of her head and added some golden brown custom color pieces around the sides of her face.
