As New York Fashion Week drew to a close, not only were we enthralled with many of the Fall/Winter collections for 2016, but the beauty trends spotted on the runway.
The Manicure: Vintage Rose. The Monique Lhuillier Fall 2016 collection (above) is an artistic expression of an eccentric woman who is cool, relaxed and rock ‘n’ roll. Complementing the rich color palette in the fabrics, Morgan Taylor Lacquer lead artist Gina Edwards created a sophisticated soft rosy-pink manicure with Polished Up and Make It Last. The demure nails add elegance to the Monique Lhuillier woman.
The Manicure: Frosted Dot. The Sally LaPointe woman is sophisticated and cool. Morgan Taylor lead artist Danielle Candido created a frosted white manicure to reflect the various textures and neutrals seen throughout the collection. Created using Heaven Sent and topped with Matte’s a Wrap, the look has its moment with a gold stud placed just below the moon of the nail.
The manicure: Polished and Professional. The Kate Spade woman embraces modern femininity and confidence. Deborah Lippmann for Beauty.com created a sophisticated and clean manicure to complement the collection’s bold colorblocking. Lippmann prepped the nails with Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Base Coat. Then she applied two coats of Baby Love (center look). For the end looks, she applied one coat of My Old Flame followed by another coat of It’s Raining Men. Lippmann finished the look with Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Top Coat.
