Sunday night’s presentation of the Critics’ Choice Awards brought out the ladies in blue.  Presenters, nominees, and guests, such as Jennifer Aniston, Saoirse Ronan, Joanne Froggatt, Constance Wu, and January Jones (left) wore various shades of the cool color.  But it was Jones who beautifully incorporated the hue into her makeup.  Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist, Lauren Andersen, took inspiration from the playful elegance of the actress’s embellished Altuzarra gown and helped her get that beautiful look.
According to Anderson, she prepped the skin with La Mer Moisturizing Cream and Honest Everything Cream Foundation.  She then applied  Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Metal Eyes, lined the eyes with Urban Decay Glide on Eye Pencil in Sabbath, and finished with Avon Big & False Lash Volume Mascara in Blackest Black.  Finally, she applied applied Avon True Color Matte Lipstick in Marvelous Mocha, which launches in February.
“A matte lip has never been more on trend,” explains Andersen. “However, sometimes with super-pigmented color that’s shine-free, it flakes or feathers throughout the day. With True Color Perfectly Matte Lipstick, that’s definitely not the case. The formula glides on velvety smooth with long-term comfortable wear—meaning your lips look as good as they feel all day long.”

Amid a public custody battle with ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, Madonna shared an image of herself on Instagram, enduring a seemingly painful cupping appointment.  Clearly visible are large red welts emerging beneath six glasses, with the tag, “Take Me with all of my beautiful scars#i love you the way that you are ….”
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. Dating back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures and documented as early as 1550 BC, the wellness trend is believed to help with everything from improved circulation pain relief to detoxification.  The treatment visibly reemerged in Hollywood during the early 2000’s, with signature marks seen on famous beauties, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Victoria Beckham.

Yahoo Beauty Editor-in-Chief, Bobbi Brown, recently spoke with one of her favorite people, Jennifer Aniston.  The two discussed the secret to her effortless hair and style, and why she’s thrilled she kept her wedding private.  The full interview is available here.

How does she get that beautiful glow – I always give myself a good steam. A hot steam, or I have an infrared hot box that I love that always gives me an extra boost or an extra glow to my skin.  I usually do it right after a workout. Also a really good workout is something that always gets me going. Gives me oxygen and brings my chi right back to where it should be.

Her hair care brand, Living Proof – This hair product company has been such a game changer for me, and that’s the exact reason that I became a part of it, is because every person I talk to who has tried it is just obsessed and loves it. And it’s made their days so much easier because the last thing you want to deal with is your hair, or feeling it being dry and so you’re just putting it up in a little topknot or whatever.
