Lily Donaldson (left) and Joan Smalls (right) lit up social media with videos from their latest workout:  pole dancing!  In anticipation of this month’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris, the models took a class at Body & Pole, New York’s premiere Arial Dance and Fitness Studio.  In one of the videos, “directed and edited” by Smalls, the Puerto Rican beauty asks Donaldson, “Wanna be a stripper?” to which Donaldson jokes, “I’m going to try a new job.”  Captioning the entry, “Breaking the workout routine with my fiery chica @lilydonaldson #stripclass Part I,” Smalls calls the pole dancing class “the non traditional @victoriassecret workout.”

NYFW: EVEN MODELS CRASHED & BURNED!

crash-burn
At New York Fashion Week, some designers’ collections simply crashed and burned.  And now one of social media’s darlings, Bella Hadid, took a tumble on the Michael Kors runway, thanks to her six-inch black platform heels.  In front of a star-studded audience, which included Emily Blunt and Sienna Miller, Hadid, not only fell, but injured her heel.  She had been walking behind models, Kendall Jenner, Joan Smalls and Romee Strijd in the illustrious designer’s show.
Posting on Instagram, she wrote, “Thank you so much for having me in the show @michaelkors @johndavidpfeiffer.”  Sharing a pic of herself before the fall, she added ‘”Seconds before” with a laughing emoji.  Hadid is not the only notable recognized for taking a tumble; in 1993, Naomi Campbell made headlines when she slipped during the Vivienne Westwood show in Paris.

MODEL’S CAPSULE COLLECTION WITH ESTÉE LAUDER

Following in Kendall Jenner’s, footsteps, Estée Lauder spokesmodel, Joan Smalls, is starring in a new beauty campaign for the brand.  The 27-year-old Puerto Rican beauty has created a twelve-piece capsule collection of supersaturated, matte shades, called, Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipsticks.  “I love how matte lipsticks don’t look too overpowering or in-your-face, even if the color is bright,” Smalls explains of the “chic and sophisticated” effect of a gloss-free pout which “feels creamy rather than dry and flaky.”  The collection includes a broad selection of reds, pinks, chocolatey browns and a dark burgundy with names like Commanding (a black cherry pigment, chosen by her Instagram followers), Shameless Violet (a statement purple), Extrovert (a spot-on eggplant), and Neon Azalea (an effervescent pink).
