Another designer fragrance has come to market.  Amo Ferragamo, from Italian fashion house, Ferragamo, launched Saturday night in Milan at the Palazzo Mezzanotte, home to the Italian stock exchange.  Amor, which translates to I Love, serves as a double-entendre, drawing from the suffix of brand’s name.  “Ferragamo is a brand of passion and a brand of love,” said the company’s president and chairman, Ferruccio Ferragamo, at the world premiere.  “I think the name could not have been more appropriate. My father started his career making shoes but his dream was to dress women, from head to toe. Actually from toe to head.”
     The scent, created by nose, Marie Salamagne, opens with notes of black currant, campari and rosemary.  Middle notes feature jasmine, mate, and rhubarb, while vanilla, ambroxan, and sandalwood complete the fragrance.  British model and actress, Suki Waterhouse, who serves as the face of Ferragamo, appears in Amo Ferragamo’s film campaign, directed by Ellen von Unwerth.
