Following its successful campaign with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing last year, L’Oréal Paris will partner with uber-chic French designer, Isabel Marant, on a capsule makeup collection. Featuring five color cosmetics products for the eyes, lips, and cheeks, the collaboration is scheduled to be pre-released on September 19th and go wide on September 27th (to coincide with Marant’s ready-to-wear show in Paris).
While Marant initially conceived the collaboration as “non-makeup products,” she conceded with “a few necessary products that one always has in her bag and can be used in a very nomadic way,” according to an exclusive interview with WWD. The designer sees the Isabel Marant girl as “rather natural in the day but doesn’t have the time to go back home before going out [in the evening] and to redo her entire beauty look. So the idea was to have the three or four products that in a flash help sublimate a face with very simple and spontaneous gestures.”
