With lyrics, “Take off all my makeup cos I love what’s under it / Rub off all your words don’t give a f@%$ I’m over it / Jiggle all this weight, yeah you know I love all of this / Finally love me naked / Sexiest when I’m confident,” its no wonder that Little Mix’s body-positive single, Strip, is already garnering great attention. And so is the image of singers, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, posing naked while displaying their “flaws.”
Speaking to the concept of the project, Nelson shares, “Strip is a turning point. We’re talking about stuff we’ve wanted to speak about for ages. We’ve all suffered from body confidence and negative comments, and up until now we didn’t really have a song we felt addressed everything we needed to.” The girl-band is also inviting their fans to show off their greatest flaws in an effort to promote greater body positivity.
