Laverne Cox’s limited-edition collaboration with ORLY, Celebrate Yourself by Laverne Cox, is the perfect party in a bottle!  Not only did the collection light up the sky at Sunday’s Emmy Awards, but its six shimmery metallic lacquers took things off the hook — without the alcohol!  Shine and Mirrorball offer sultry shades of silver, while Party In The Hills brings out our inner golden-girl.  For a romantic touch of rose gold, Halo (an homage to Queen Bey) and Million Dollar Views warm things up, while Cox calls the glittery-black Androgynie, “a sparkly showgirl with a dark side.”  All ORLY lacquers come with the award-winning Gripper Cap (a major tooth-saver) and are formulated without DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.  A portion of the proceeds from each sale of Celebrate Yourself by Laverne Cox will go to help victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma and receive a free gift with purchase of ORLY Top 2 Bottom, its all-in-one basecoat and topcoat, while supplies last.

TUNE IN ALERT:  Check out Thursday’s debut of American Beauty Star on Lifetime, featuring many of ORLY’s talented nail technicians and lacquers!

Courteney Cox has always been a great beauty.  So what was she doing with all of those dermal fillers last year (inset)?  The 53-year-old candidly spoke with New Beauty about breaking some of beauty’s biggest rules and getting real. “I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be,” the actress reveals. “I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do. Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop … Those aren’t wrinkles—they’re smile lines.”

Aging in front the camera has been challenging for Cox.  “Hollywood makes it hard; this business makes it harder. I grew up thinking appearance was the most important thing. That as long as I looked OK, I would be OK, which got me into trouble,” she reveals.  Listening to friends and doctors’ advice, she gradually began layering injectables … until she finally realized that something just didn’t look right.  “I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend,” she admits.  “I was trying so hard to keep up, and that actually made things worse.”

Today Cox’s beauty routine is rather simple.  She washes her face with the Clarisonic, gets weekly facials with Mila Moursi, and uses the estheticians products — Rejuvenating Serum, Firming Cream, Oxy Cellular and AntiWrinkle Cream — and a good Vitamin C product.  For Cox’s stellar lashes, she applies Latisse and saves time by microblading her brows.  Makeup is usually some mascara and a smudge of eyeliner.  But don’t think that she is immune to a little help here and there.  “I believe in getting laser treatments like Clear + Brilliant. I believe in microneedling. I think microcurrent technology makes sense to strengthen your muscles.”
