gigi-hadidContrary to popular belief, Gigi Hadid, did not intentionally lose weight for her recent appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris.  The model, 21, recently revealed that she suffers from the autoimmune disease, Hashimoto’s, also known as hypothyroidism.  In Hashimoto’s the thyroid gland is unable to produce enough hormones which control metabolism.  Speaking with Elle, Hadid shared, “its now been two years since taking the medication for it, so for the VS show I didn’t want to lose any more weight, I just want to have muscles in the right place, and if my butt can get a little perkier, then that’s good.”  The avid boxer and spokesperson for Reebok’s #PerfectNever campaign credits her incredible figure to hard work and good eating habits.  “I love eggs! In general I like fresh ingredients. I’m not a salad and meat type of person; to me, that’s boring. I also like making tomato soup from scratch with grilled cheese dippers on the side. If I can cook it with ingredients that I know are good, then I’ll eat anything.”

Just in time for the holidays comes Edition 01, a gorgeous, wintry, mystical, and made with not-one artificial ingredient fragrance from Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop.  This is the actress and lifestyle guru’s first launch of a fragrance.  The spray and candle (retailing $165 and $72, respectively) evoke the scent of winter.  Why winter?  “I like the coziness of winter, and the family time that comes with it,” Paltrow shares with Elle.
According to nose, Douglas Little, who collaborated with Paltrow, Edition 01 is “a seductive, cozy blend or sacred resins, euphoric labdanum, cypress and smoldering wood all laced with traces of vanilla absolute.”  While other fragrances contain many toxins and artificial ingredients, Paltrow has made sure that her products come from naturally-derived sources and calls Edition 01 a “wholistic” experience. “One of the most amazing things about all these barks and herbs and things that grow in nature is they do all have, from the mystical point of view, healing properties,” she adds.
