Promoting her FLOWER Beauty collection for Ulta Beauty on Friday with an Instagram selfie captioned, “I NEED A BOLD LIP,” Drew Barrymore suffered the wrath of internet trolls.  Shaming the actress, 43, for choosing to pair a dark eye with a heavy lip (a look reminiscent of the 1980s), comments ranged from “harsh and unbecoming” and “you look 10 years older” to “wash your face” and “Too much f*****g makeup, women don’t need that much f*****g makeup to be beautiful.”  However, by Monday fans jumped to Barrymore’s defense, reminding her of her natural beauty.

After trolled by haters over the weekend, Drew Barrymore channeled her hurt feelings into something positive:  picking herself up with a makeover!   Assisted by hairstylist, Marki, and makeup artist, Yumi Mori, the actress and principal of Flower Beauty responded with a haircut, some lipstick, and a positive chant, “if you don’t have something nice to say … don’t say anything at all,” reminding us that beauty really comes from within.

Actress, Drew Barrymore, is far more than just a beautiful face.  The mother and president of FLOWER BEAUTY decided to tell-all during #beautyjunkieweek.  “I am convinced if we take good care of ourselves, we will feel better and less distracted by our own funny insecurities,” she posted on Instagram. “I don’t have time to go to pamper myself, because i just don’t, so I am always thrilled to find at home solutions. And I don’t want to mess with my face, so I try to find myself ways and products to look my best naturally.”  So what are some of her favorite products?

Under the category of #DONTBREAKOUT, Barrymore claims that GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment will calm irritated skin.  Posting an image of herself wearing a GlamGlow Mask, she shared, “I love doing a mask in bed watching the @thedailyshow it’s my happy place! Life is good in those moments!”

For quick face cleanses on the go, #keepitclean, Barrymore turns to Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes and Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes.

Calling it a “a nesesary (sic) daily beauty hack we don’t talk about enough,” Barrymore pulls out the Antibacterial Hand Wipes before reaching for her cell phone.  “It’s so dirty and then you touch your face! Breakouts and germ city!”

To combat teeth stains which are caused by her tea-drinking habit, Barrymore turns to the Colgate Optic Whitening Pen.  “I finally found something that helps me … my teeth are super sensitive, so most brighteners and bleaches are out of the question! Not to mention, who has time to go sit in chairs and have your teeth whitened? So I found this because my friend swore by it, and I’m telling you! I love it.” (more…)
