Connie Britton, star of the new Fox drama, 9-1-1, stunned at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night.  Presenting the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, Britton elegantly accepted Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s behalf.  Dressed in a rose gold sequin Elisabetta Franchi gown, “The inspiration for Connie’s look was a relaxed wave with a 40’s flair,” shared celebrity stylist, Bridget Brager.

To create the look, Brager started off by raking Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse through Britton’s wet hair.  Aiming the nozzle of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer under her finger tips to create smooth volume, she lifted the hair up and away from Britton’s face.  When nearly dry, Brager created a side part, styled two-inch sections with a large, round, boar bristle brush, and then used the dryer’s “cool shot” setting to lock-in shine.  Using a Harry Josh Pro Tools 2-In-1 Ceramic Marcel Curling Iron, she pushed the hair in and out horizontally, creating the large waves pattern throughout.  With a large tooth comb, she brushed through the waves and applied Herbal Essences Body Envy Dry Shampoo from mid-shaft to ends to create some texture.  After applying a generous amount of medium-hold paste to smooth out the part, she tucked one side of Britton’s hair behind the ear and secured the look with hair spray.
