For Sunday night’s Grammy Awards red carpet, Lady Gaga’s hair made a goth Victorian statement with a romantic, corseted braid.  Inspired by the design of Lady Gaga’s Armani Privé dress, celebrity stylist, Frederic Aspiras, was immediately reminded of the gowns and corsets of the Victorian era.

Aspiras began by spraying John Frieda Luxurious Volume Full Hydration Detangling Mist throughout Gaga’s wet hair to help comb out any tangles and then applied Luxurious Volume Perfectly Full Mousse for volume and texture.  Next he created a center park and dried the hair with a diffuser to “set” it.  While braiding both sides (leaving the center straight), Aspiras used Frizz Ease Clearly Defined Gel to control and maintain smoothness of the two side braids.  Towards the end of the locks, he merged both braids with the center section and and tied the ends with a clear elastic. Then, he wove the corset with a black lace.  To finish and hold the style, Aspiras sprayed several coats of Luxurious Volume Forever Full Hairspray.

Inspired by Lily James’s elegant Valentino Golden Globes gown, celebrity hairstylist, Gregory Russell, created a soft and graceful updo to compliment the ruffled neckline and low back.
Starting with damp hair, he sprayed John Frieda Luxurious Volume Full Hydration Leave-In Detangling Mist on the ends and a golf ball-sized amount of Perfectly Full Mousse to the crown and roots.  Next he blow dried with a large, round brush and used a flat iron to create a natural looking wave.  A spritz of spray Volume Refresh Dry Shampoo added a soft texture, while some Secret Weapon Touch-Up Crème provided shine and definition.
Leaving a few wisps of hair out around the face, Russell tied the rest of the hair low at the nape of James’s head and split the ponytail in half.  He next tied a knot, fastening the ends loosely so it would have a soft, romantic feeling. Locking in the style with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Forever Full Hairspray, he completed the look with a gold stone hair pin, which he applied to the knot.
