Celebrity makeup artist, Kate Best, knows that most of us can’t afford to fly first class, like her many A-list clients. Nevertheless, even Hollywood stars, like Jennifer Lopez, need some help to look their best when deplaning from a long haul. Speaking with Daily Mail Travel, Best shares some of her favorite travel tricks:
- Tie It Up — “The best way to avoid getting off the plane with your hair looking like a bird’s nest is to tie it up in a ballet-bun on top of your head when you board,” Best shares. “It won’t pick up any grease from your face and keeps it under control so you can just shake it out upon landing.”
- Take It Off — Cosmetics such a eyeliner and mascara will not survive a long plane ride. Best’s advice is to carry a package of mild, pre-moistened, cleansing wipes and remove all makeup immediately after take-off.
- Masquerade — After removing all traces of makeup, Best apples a SKII Facial Hydrating Mask (a favorite of Chrissy Teigen‘s, above). “Expensive, and you’ll look like Hannibal Lector, but worth it,” Best emphasizes.
