Kristen Bell shined Sunday night as she hosted the Screen Actors Guild Awards.  Dressed on the red carpet in a raspberry-hued gown by J Mendel, the look was understated and elegant.  However, with several wardrobe changes and hairstyles throughout the evening, Bell’s glam squad (stylist, Nicole Chavez, makeup artist, Simone Almekias-Siegl, and hair stylist, Jenny Cho) had to work overtime!  According Simone Almekias-Siegl,”It’s all about teamwork and true collaboration!”  As Bell’s hair was planned to be up for most of the evening, “With this information, the vision typically comes to me quite quickly and I often pull a couple photos as reference to reinforce the plan.”  Almekias-Siegl’s plan for the Neutrogena brand ambassador focused on skin, eyes, and lips!

SKIN:  “I always begin with a good skincare routine,” shares Almekias-Siegl. “Skincare is my passion and it’s so nice to start with a clean and smooth surface.”  Using Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes to clean the skin followed by  a Hydro Boost HydroGel Face Sheet Mask (see photo after the break).  “I love the Neutrogena Hydro boost hydrating mask before make up application. It plumbs the skin and smoothens out fine lines under your eyes,” she shared.  After the mask, she hydrated with Neutrogena’s Hydro Water Gel and Eye Cream before applying Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint in Buff, Concealer Stick in Light, and Healthy Skin Blends in Sunkissed.

Academy Award winning actress, Nicole Kidman, has just been named Neutrogena’s newest Global Brand Ambassador.  Joining Ambassadors,  Kerry Washington, Kristen Bell, Jennifer Garner, Hayden Panettiere, Elza Gonzalez, Sandra Echeveria, and Olivia Holt, Kidman, 49, is thrilled to be a part of such a “strong and inspiring group” of Neutrogena women.  Washington welcomed Kidman (below) to the Neutrogena family on Instagram, calling her “BEAUTIFUL inside and out.”

The Australian beauty shared that growing up in her native country, the essence of her beauty routine was sun protection.  However, as she matured, she began to realize that the skin needed a lot of attention and support to keep it healthy.  Today her overall health, including the health of her skin, is a top priority.  “Look, the reality is, we all know choosing the right anti-aging product is trial and error, hit or miss, somethings work and some don’t,” she shares.  “But at this point in my life, I am looking for something that simply works, that’s why I am really excited to join this passionate and dedicated team.”

According to Cory Price, Vice President of Marketing at Neutrogena, “Nicole embodies the true spirit of the women that we are committed to everyday – their passion, strength and focus are what make Neutrogena women so special. Nicole will help us encourage women to embrace their beauty through the lens of skin health and empower women to see what’s possible with Neutrogena.”  Kidman’s first commercial for the brand will air during the Oscars.

Kristen Bell’s red carpet look was created by celebrity makeup artist, Simone Almekias-Siegl.  Simone was inspired by Kristen’s plunging black sequined Jenny Packham gown.  “I wanted Kristen to look really classy and fresh,” she shared, “I decided for a soft smokey eye with a nude lip and dewy skin.”  Kristen maintained a sense of humor throughout the day, as she prepared for the Golden Globes.  In fact, she briefly shared a picture of her undergarments (bottom) on Instagram.

After prepping Kristen’s skin with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Serum and Water Gel Moisturizer, she applied Neutrogena’s new Hydro Boost Foundation (available February 2017) all over the face and then a touch of the Hydro Boost Concealer under the eyes as a highlighter.  She then dusted the brand’s Healthy Skin Blush in Bronzed on the apple’s of Kristen’s cheeks.  TIP:  “I don’t use a lot of powder to get the dewy look after her own oils start to come out, and it gives it a fresh healthy look.”

Using Neutrogena’s Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-In Primer palette in Mink Brown on Kristen’s eyes, Simone applied the darker shade in the crease and outer eye, and highlighted with the lightest shade on lid and under brow bone.  Lining eyelids in black, “I try to only line mid to outer eye to keep it more open,” Simone then applied coats of Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara in black mixed with a few layers of Neutrogena Healthy Lengths mascara.

To complete Kristen’s look, Simone prepped her lips with the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydration Lip Treatment (launching February 2017).   “It also fills in the little lines around mouth to get flawless application with any lipstick over it.”  Then she applied the brand’s MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Classic Nude.
