Following her triumphant Super Bowl performance, Lady Gaga continues to be the focus of our attention.  Appearing at Tommy Hilfiger’s “Tommyland” runway show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the singer sported an eye-popping look.   Wearing a nautical sequin-covered “onesie” paired with embellished military boots, fishnet stockings, and a vintage Hermes Kelly bag, it was her unusual brow makeup, though, that really confounded us.  Is this the next beauty trend?

Lady Gaga literally blew the roof off of the Super Bowl, beginning her half-time performance from the top of Houston’s NRG Stadium, surrounded by hundreds of drones.  The singer, dressed in custom Atelier Versace, then took a death-defying plunge towards to the stage, where she performed for more than thirteen minutes.  Renditions of patriotic tunes, such as “God Bless America” and “This Land Is Your Land,” preceded a medley of top hits, ranging from “Poker Face” and “Telephone” to “Bad Romance.”  However, Gaga 30, subtly politicized when she sang “Born This Way” before Vice President, Mike Pence, emphasizing the lines “No matter gay, straight, or bi, Lesbian, transgendered life/I’m on the right track baby/I was born to survive.”

Gaga, who fiercely supports equal rights for the LGBT community, was expected to make a political statement during her half-time performance.  However, prior to the Super Bowl she said, “The only statements that’ll be making during the halftime show are the ones that I have been consistently making throughout my career.  I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality and the spirit of this country. It’s one of love and compassion and kindness. So my performance will uphold those philosophies.”  And they did.

The highly-anticipated 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, scheduled to air on CBS this Monday, December 5th, is expected to draw more than 30 million viewers worldwide.  For weeks the focus has been on the model lineup, the musical talent (Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars) and, of course, the $3 million Fantasy Bra.  Posing on Monday at Paris’s Grand Palais, the fifty-two Angels were shot in matching “uniforms,” continuing a longstanding tradition of continuity.

Eighteen of the Angels, including Bella Hadid, will be making their Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut.  Runway veterans, Gigi Hadid, Kendal Jenner, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Lily Donaldson, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kelly Gale, and Lily Aldridge have all been followed on social media as they upped their workouts for the show.  Noticeably absent from the lineup this year are Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, and new mothers, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo.
