Emily Ratajkowski is best known for her sultry looks and edgy style! The model and up-and-coming actress looked flawless from head to toe on the 2016 Emmy’s Awards red carpet! Makeup Artist Hung Vanngo trusted LORAC Cosmetics to create Emily’s spectacular look. “I wanted to do something that would let her natural beauty and confidence shine through,” says Hung, “I took inspiration from her dress and did an eye focus in the same family of blues. To keep it modern, I left the rest of her makeup soft and subtle.”
Vanngo began by prepping Emily’s skin with LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer before applying the brand’s SHEER POREfection Foundation and Concealer. Then he applied some Baked Perfecting Powder to give her a silky smooth, poreless-looking finish. To highlight Emily’s razor-edged cheekbones, Vanngo used LORAC TANtalizer Highligher & Matte Bronzer Duo with a hint of flush with LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush in Chroma.
To create Emily’s dramatic eyes, Vanngo primed the lids with Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer and lined the lids generously with Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in Navy on the inside lash line and Aqua on the outside. With LORC PRO Palettes 2 and 3, Vanngo created a modern-day cat-eye, continuing through crease and feathering out towards brow bone in contrasting shades. To complete the look he filled in Emily’s brows with a PRO Brow Pencil and applied multiple coats of Lash Pomade Mascara to her lashes.
