Celebrity Makeup Artist Tasha Brown worked with bareMinerals Power of Good Ambassador, actress Letitia Wright, for Monday night’s Emmy Awards.  Brown was inspired by Wright’s gorgeous Pamela Rowland gown, and used peachy and bronze tones to keep her looking ethereal to match her dress.  Tasha added soft, arched brows and golden eyeshadow with a natural skin finish, added glowing shimmery highlights on the cheekbones and eye lids.

Brown primed Wright’s clean skin with bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Defense Radian Protective Veil with SPF and then applied the brand’s Original Loose Powder Foundation with SPF 15 in Golden Dark, using tapping motion through the center of the face for light coverage.  She then used a sheer layer of Barepro Glow Highlighter in Fierce to highlight the tops of Wright’s cheekbones, center of nose and chin for a bit of glow and dimension. To add a flush of color, Brown lightly dusted Gen Nude Powder Blush in That Peach Tho along hairline, temples, and cheeks.

For Wright’s dreamy eyes, Brown applied the deep bronze tones of the Gen Nude Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral all over the eyelid to better complement the color of her gown.  Then she completed the look with Wright’s beautiful lips, forgoing traditional liner “for a softer edge to the lips,” and applying Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss in Flirt.

BareMinerals, the indie brand acquired by Shiseido in 2010, is hitting refresh with a clean marketing focus and a few new recognizable faces.  “The Power of Good” campaign, launched this summer with actress Letitia Wright (Black Panther), reminds us of the brand’s clean-mineral heritage:  Full of What’s Good / Free of What’s Fake.  Now the brand is introducing two new faces, Hailey Baldwin and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as well as its first official makeup artist, Nikki DeRoest.

Baldwin and Huntington-Whiteley will promote the Full Of/Free Of initiative on social media, particularly on YouTube, where they have shot individual makeup tutorials.  Full Of/Free Of states that BareMinerals continues to be free of harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives including Chemical Sunscreens, Coal Tar, Formaldehyde, Mineral Oil, Microbeads, Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Triclosan and Triclocarban.

“Hailey and Rosie demonstrate that our passion for the power of our products and the power of our message is shared by some of the world’s most influential women,” said Jill Scalamandre, President, bareMinerals. “We chose Letitia earlier in the year because of her personal and impactful message about the world of clean beauty. When looking at what unites our ambassadors, it was clear that they all live their lives with humanity, meaning, and strive to positively affect the people they touch. We are excited to watch these partnerships grow.”
