Lily Aldridge has a nose for beauty.  The self-proclaimed junkie has announced her new partnership with Interparfums to create a fragrance line debuting in 2019.  “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the beauty world and how long I’ve been wanting to branch out and create beauty products, “she shared.  “This is just the beginning and I’m excited nervous thrilled humbled and so many more emotions to share this journey with everyone.”  The collection, which will initially include four scents, will be distributed through e-commerce and direct-to-consumer channels.

The model’s foray into fragrance is part of a larger collaboration between Aldridge’s representatives, IMG Models, and Inter Parfums Inc., in which the connection between celebrity and fragrance will shift, “We are trying to build exactly the opposite of what celebrity fragrance was for the last 20 years,” said Jean Madar, chairman of Inter Parfums to WWD. “We want Lily to create the product, not our marketing people. We opened the kitchen for her, she’s cooking, she’s designing, it will have her name on the bottle. It’s quite different from other license models that we have. It’s a real partnership with the talent and the company that knows how to make product.”

Designer Jason Wu is no stranger to doll-play.  In fact, in 2000 he worked as a doll designer for Integrity Toys. Wu, who created five limited-edition dolls to accompany his couture line, from 2017-2018, has launched his first fragrance doll to celebrate his eponymous perfume.  The limited-edition doll — only 300 units have been produced — depicts Lily Aldridge, who serves as the face of Jason Wu Fragrance, in a custom Wu gown.  Exclusive to Net-A-Porter, it is accompanied by a 90ml Eau de Parfum and retails for $380.!
The Jason Wu Fragrance line is inspired by Wu’s childhood in Taiwan, when he used to pick flowers from his neighbor’s garden. Collaborating with master perfumer Frank Voelkl of Firmenich, his signature scent is redolent with pink pepper, lush figs and jasmine sambac hand-picked in India.

The highly-anticipated 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, scheduled to air on CBS this Monday, December 5th, is expected to draw more than 30 million viewers worldwide.  For weeks the focus has been on the model lineup, the musical talent (Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars) and, of course, the $3 million Fantasy Bra.  Posing on Monday at Paris’s Grand Palais, the fifty-two Angels were shot in matching “uniforms,” continuing a longstanding tradition of continuity.

Eighteen of the Angels, including Bella Hadid, will be making their Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut.  Runway veterans, Gigi Hadid, Kendal Jenner, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Lily Donaldson, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kelly Gale, and Lily Aldridge have all been followed on social media as they upped their workouts for the show.  Noticeably absent from the lineup this year are Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, and new mothers, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo.
