Let’s face it, being young (24!) has its advantages. However, to sport a body like Margot Robbie’s, it still requires discipline. The actress recently shared some of her diet fitness secrets with Emirates Woman. “I’m not good at doing moderation. I get miserable if I don’t eat,” shares Robbie. “I can’t just have a salad every day and a half a glass of wine every second day. I can’t do it.”
So what does she eat? Its actually easier to begin with what she tries her best not to eat; saturated fats, fast foods, sugary drinks, and chocolate are all “banned” from the star’s diet. “I don’t have a very good diet. I love beer, fries, burgers, but if I have to get in a bikini then I’ll eat carrot sticks for three days. I’m one extreme or the other.” A typical breakfast includes porridge with blackberries or a “green machine” smoothie (with kale and apple). Lunch is either skinny lemon chicken with brown rice or a mackerel salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, while dinner features a tuna steak with sweet potato or vegetable “hot pot” with rice noodles. But if she could have her “wish list,” Robbie would subsist on chocolate, waffles and fries!
The Australian native enjoys intense cardio exercises like running, surfing, and ice hockey. Her “ice hockey-inspired” workout includes a warm-up of jogging on skipping for ten minutes followed by 8-12 lateral lunges on each side, then rear0foot elevated squats (8-12 repetitions per side), finishing with 8-12 goblet squats (holding a weight close to the chest and doing a complete squat).
