#TIME’S UP FOR THE RED CARPET: GOING BLACK FOR THE GOLDEN GLOBES!

Sharing with her more than 11.5 million fans #WhyWeWearBlack on Instagram, Reese Witherspoon led the #TimesUp initiative at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards.   #TimesUp launched on Monday, signifies the end of abuse, harassment, discrimination, and the imbalance of power in the workplace.  Joined by Tracee Ellis Ross, Eva Longoria, Brie Larson, Natalie Portman, Selena Gomez, and nearly 300 others, the group signed the anti-harassment action plan and committed to raising funds for the Times Up Legal Defense Fund.  Women in Hollywood — from Meryl Streep, Carrie Washington, and Michelle Williams to Shonda Rhimes, Angelina Jolie, and Oprah Winfrey — all wore black, standing up in solidarity.

DIOR’S GIRL NEXT DOOR GROWS UP!

Known for her girl-next-door appeal, actress Natalie Portman, 35, vamped it up for Dior’s newest makeup product, Rouge Dior Liquid. The long-wearing liquid lip stain promises twelve hours of continuous coverage and is available in three special effects choices: matte, metal, or satin.  Dior launched its latest Miss Dior campaign with Portman, last week.

The actress began her longstanding association with the luxury brand in 2010.  “I’ve been working with Dior for so long and they have been so incredibly supportive of me and my career,” she shared with British Vogue last year.  “I have also been lucky enough to travel to some pretty incredibly places with them, giving me time in foreign countries I may not otherwise get to experience.  Also it’s a great honour to be in the company of great women such as Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard, Rihanna and Charlize Theron and I feel lucky to be with them as peers.”

On the road to the Oscars, stylists in Hollywood are stepping up their games!  While some A-Listers were big winners — such as Claire Foy (in Valentino), Emma Stone (in Alexander McQueen), Janelle Monáe (in Chanel), Emily Blunt (in Cavalli), Michelle Williams (in Louis Vuitton), and Natalie Portman (in Dior) — others, such as Nicole Kidman (in Gucci), Kate Hudson (in Dior), and Salma Hayek (in Gucci) were panned.  The evening’s big winners were Stone for “La La Land,” Foy for “The Queen,” Viola Davis (in Vivian Westwood) for “Fences,” Julia Louis-Dreyfus for “Veep,” and Sarah Paulson (in Vera Wang) for “American Crime Story:  The People V OJ Simpson.”
