Sleep, an indispensable part of a healthy lifestyle, is essential to feeling refreshed, rested, and, of course, beautiful. Musely’s Bye Bye Eye Bags Hydrogel Eye Masks use patented hydrogel technology to promote the skin’s natural repair process, targeting wrinkles, dryness, dark circles and puffiness caused by environmental damage and the lack of sleep. Locking in vital nutrients, Bye Bye Eye Bags are specially designed to evenly deliver nutrient-rich botanical extracts over an eight-hour period, using naturally-derived ingredients, such as prickly pear seed oil and Vitamin K to brighten under eye circles, grape seed oil to firm and reduce the appearance of fine lines, oat kernel extract to soften and moisturize, and antioxidant-rich cucumber fruit extract to counteract the signs of environmental damage. Each box of Bye Bye Eye Bags Hydrogel Eye Masks contains ten masks.

Insufficient sleep is a public health problem, according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report. Sleep-related disorders offer increased risk for chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, depression, cancer, and obesity, as well a reduced quality of life and productivity. In recognition of National Sleep Awareness Week, we have asked dermatologist, Dr. Helen Flamenbaum, of Schweiger Dermatology Group, to enlighten us on some of her favorite sleep-related beauty tips.
Get at least 7 hours of sleep. Nighttime is the right time to take years off your face. Hormonal changes boost blood flow to the skin, brightening it over night. Even though you are resting, your skin is hard at work. Studies show that cell turnover is 8 times faster at night, softening wrinkles. Sleep, is not only essential for maintaining heart health, improving concentration and reducing stress, but also vital for repairing sun damage, preventing acne and even maintaining a healthy glow! They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing!
Sleep on your back. The way you sleep may actually cause wrinkles. No matter how soft your pillow, it puts pressure on your face each night. Over years, this can etch lines into your chin, cheeks, or forehead. This is why these lines are called sleep lines. Your personal pattern of sleep lines depends on how you tend to rest your face on the pillow. For this reason, it is best to sleep on your back. If you keep your head raised above your heart, fluid won’t accumulate around your face and eyes. You can also try using satin sheets. The face slides against the satin pillowcase so that it doesn’t crunch against it, and no sleep lines are formed. Beauty sleep pillows are also an option, they are made with a special foam and have a unique shape which helps alleviate pressure on the face.
