NYX Professional Makeup announced the launch of Masterclass, an online educational content library featuring a group of professional makeup artists (“offline” and “online” artistry) and top beauty vloggers— the Masters. The program aims to provide consumers of all skill sets with accessible, professional-grade education. Masters include both “offline” and “online” artists; “offline” artists are those who work professionally in entertainment, film, television, and fashion, while “online” artists are those who excel in social media, and work primarily Instagram and YouTube.
The 2018 class of Masters includes Patrick Ta, Denika Bedrossian, Joseph Carrillo, Saisha Beecham, and Amber Dreadon, as well as top beauty vloggers Karen Sarahi Gonzalez, Angel Merino, Ourfa Zinali, and Nikkie Tutorials. By bringing the two worlds of makeup artistry together in a carefully curated online library of educational content, NYX Professional Makeup aims to educate audiences on all aspects of the trade. The online video library will differ from traditional YouTube tutorials by consisting primarily of didactic, technique-focused content—with the intent for consumers to learn the tricks of the trade from the best in the business.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of Masterclass,” said Mishel Garcia, Director of Artistry at NYX Professional Makeup. “With this groundbreaking program, our goal is to create the world’s most comprehensive library of educational content by bringing offline and online artistry to life in a unique way. Our goal is to educate, inspire, and uplift aspiring makeup artists of all levels. Whether someone is just starting out in makeup artistry, or is already a professional looking to fine-tune his or her skill set, this educational program is here to reinforce NYX Professional Makeup’s mantra of artistry for all.”
