SAKS’S NEW BEAUTY EXPERIENCE!

On Tuesday Saks Fifth Avenue opened a new, 32,000-square-foot beauty space on the second floor of its New York Flagship with more than 120 color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance and wellness brands (58 of which are new to the floor).  Anchor shops include Aesop, CHANEL, Christian Louboutin Beauté, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Gucci (its first new beauty concept store in the US, above), Kiehl’s Since 1851, La Mer, La Prairie, Sisley Paris, and Tom Ford.  By moving the Beauty Department to the second floor, Saks hopes to address the new ways customers shop and experience beauty.

Focusing more on on experiences, the floor now includes 15 new spa rooms along with services such as medi-spa treatments, facials, massages, manicures, brow services, a flower shop and more.  Saks curated treatments and luxury experiences for customers include services such as:

  • FaceGym, the original non-invasive facial workout, exclusive to Saks and the first shop in the United States.
  • Dedicated spa rooms for CHANEL, Clé de Peau Beauté, Dior, Kiehl’s Since 1851, La Mer, La Prairie, Martine de Richeville, SKINNEY MedSpa and Sisley Paris.
  • Brow and lash styling by Blink Brow Bar London, CoolSculpting and laser hair removal by SKINNEY MedSpa and manicures and meditation by sundays.
  • Martine de Richeville’s signature slimming, deep-tissue massage, Rémodelage, —a Saks exclusive and brand-first space in the United States.
  • Hand-tied floral arrangements by EB Florals, revolving around the composition of the fragrances and their seasonal availability.

BCA: THE KEY TO THE CURE!

Saks Fifth Avenue has teamed up with Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) for the 19th annual Key To The Cure campaign, Saks’s annual fundraising initiative to fight cancer. This year, Women’s Cancer Research Ambassador, Jennifer Lopez, will face and model for the campaign.  Founded by Jamie Tisch, Kate Capshaw, Rita Wilson, Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Kelly Chapman Meyer, and Marion Laurie, WCRF has made advances in lifesaving research. Saks Fifth Avenue’s annual KTTC charity shopping weekend will kick off on Friday, Oct. 13, and will donate three percent of sales of designated merchandise up to $500,000 to WCRF from Friday to Sunday.
Additionally, one hundred percent of gross revenue from sales from October 1-31, 2017 of the Key to the Cure limited-edition t-shirt designed by Missoni (left) will be allocated equally among twelve organizations (including The Doris Shaheen Breast Health Center at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Friends of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Rethink Breast Cancer, American Cancer Society, Louisiana Cancer Research Center, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Transition to Betterness).

Ryder

Winona Ryder, 44, has been named the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty.  The indie film star’s image was “leaked” on Jacobs’ personal Instagram page.  “A brilliant mind, talent, and physical beauty like no other, I am delighted to share this image of Winona with my IG fans and followers today,” he posted.  Jacobs followed with additional images of his “dear friend (of over two and a half decades),” detailing the duo’s prior collaborations, “#4everwinona #marcbeauty.”

Ryder made headlines in 2001, when she was arrested for shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.  The actress was found with $5,560 worth of stolen goods — including a $760 Marc Jacobs sweater!
