BareMinerals, the indie brand acquired by Shiseido in 2010, is hitting refresh with a clean marketing focus and a few new recognizable faces.  “The Power of Good” campaign, launched this summer with actress Letitia Wright (Black Panther), reminds us of the brand’s clean-mineral heritage:  Full of What’s Good / Free of What’s Fake.  Now the brand is introducing two new faces, Hailey Baldwin and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as well as its first official makeup artist, Nikki DeRoest.

Baldwin and Huntington-Whiteley will promote the Full Of/Free Of initiative on social media, particularly on YouTube, where they have shot individual makeup tutorials.  Full Of/Free Of states that BareMinerals continues to be free of harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives including Chemical Sunscreens, Coal Tar, Formaldehyde, Mineral Oil, Microbeads, Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Triclosan and Triclocarban.

Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated actress, Zhang Ziyi, has been appointed a Global Brand Ambassador for Shiseido‘s Clé de Peau Beauté. In a new campaign premiering this fall, Ziyi will represent La Crème, the brand’s iconic illuminating product which moisturizes and retexturizes skin while diminishing the appearance of fine lines and laxity.  She joins Amanda Seyfried and Felicity Jones, who have also represented Clé de Peau Beauté.

Following her debut in Zhang Yimou’s The Road Home, which won the Silver Bear Award at the 2000 Berlin Film Festival, Ziyi has gone on to appear in more than 20 movies including the internationally acclaimed Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and Memoirs of a Geisha. Her role in 2013’s The Grandmaster earned her 12 Best Actress Awards, making her the most awarded actress for a single film.
