Kristen Bell shined Sunday night as she hosted the Screen Actors Guild Awards.  Dressed on the red carpet in a raspberry-hued gown by J Mendel, the look was understated and elegant.  However, with several wardrobe changes and hairstyles throughout the evening, Bell’s glam squad (stylist, Nicole Chavez, makeup artist, Simone Almekias-Siegl, and hair stylist, Jenny Cho) had to work overtime!  According Simone Almekias-Siegl,”It’s all about teamwork and true collaboration!”  As Bell’s hair was planned to be up for most of the evening, “With this information, the vision typically comes to me quite quickly and I often pull a couple photos as reference to reinforce the plan.”  Almekias-Siegl’s plan for the Neutrogena brand ambassador focused on skin, eyes, and lips!

SKIN:  “I always begin with a good skincare routine,” shares Almekias-Siegl. “Skincare is my passion and it’s so nice to start with a clean and smooth surface.”  Using Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes to clean the skin followed by  a Hydro Boost HydroGel Face Sheet Mask (see photo after the break).  “I love the Neutrogena Hydro boost hydrating mask before make up application. It plumbs the skin and smoothens out fine lines under your eyes,” she shared.  After the mask, she hydrated with Neutrogena’s Hydro Water Gel and Eye Cream before applying Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint in Buff, Concealer Stick in Light, and Healthy Skin Blends in Sunkissed.

68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsWe all agree that Kristen Bell looked ravishing at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.  Dressed in a floral gown by Zuhair Murad, the actress simply glowed on the red carpet.  Celebrity makeup artist, Simone Almekias-Siegl was inspired by Bell’s elegance.  “My inspiration started with the dress,” confessed Almekias-Siegl.  “It was important that her skin was fresh and dewy looking, which we achieved.”  Naturally, it all begins with luminous skin!

Almekias-Siegl began by prepping Bell’s skin.  She first wiped Bell’s face with Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to remove any oils and then gave the skin a good scrub.  Next, Almekias-Siegl gave Bell a one-two hydration punch, applying the brand’s Hydro Boost Water Gel and Gel-Cream Eye. The unique water gel formula absorbs quickly, like a gel, but has the long-lasting, intense moisturizing power of a cream.  For makeup, she applied Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup and a bit of Skin Brightening Eye Perfector under the eyes, to highlight and cover any dark areas.  “I used almost no powder to keep her skin dewy looking,” Almekias-Siegel shared, “Just a little in the t-zone.”  Then she applied some Healthy Skin Blush in Bronzed directly to Bell’s cheeks.

For Bell’s bright eyes, Almekias-Siegel brushed some MAC shadow in Expensive Pink all over the lids and highlighted with the light pink shade in Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow Palette in Cool Plum.  “I always like to mix two mascaras,” the makeup artist admitted.  “One for volume and one for lengthening to get the wispy and full lash effect.”  Her picks were Healthy Volume and Healthy Lengths Mascaras.  To complete the look, she used MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Classic Nude.  This treatment cosmetic instantly moisturize lips, while continuously conditioning them so they are softer and smoother in just 3 days.
