#TIME’S UP FOR THE RED CARPET: GOING BLACK FOR THE GOLDEN GLOBES!

Sunday, January 7th, 2018

Sharing with her more than 11.5 million fans #WhyWeWearBlack on Instagram, Reese Witherspoon led the #TimesUp initiative at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards.   #TimesUp launched on Monday, signifies the end of abuse, harassment, discrimination, and the imbalance of power in the workplace.  Joined by Tracee Ellis Ross, Eva Longoria, Brie Larson, Natalie Portman, Selena Gomez, and nearly 300 others, the group signed the anti-harassment action plan and committed to raising funds for the Times Up Legal Defense Fund.  Women in Hollywood — from Meryl Streep, Carrie Washington, and Michelle Williams to Shonda Rhimes, Angelina Jolie, and Oprah Winfrey — all wore black, standing up in solidarity.

Monday, October 9th, 2017

Actress and fashion muse, Tracee Ellis Ross, has launched a one-time capsule collection with major retailer, J.C. Penney.  Available in-store and on-line on November 12th, Tracee Ellis Ross for J.C. Penney will include women’s clothing, accessories, and even home design.  “Feeling great and looking great should be accessible to everyone and should be affordable. It doesn’t have to cost a lot to look incredible,” Ross said. “It was very important to me to have considered a diverse group of women.”

The holiday-inspired collection aims to appeal to women of different ethnicities and body-types. Price points range from $12 for bar glasses and dessert plates to $74 for a sequin dress (center).  Standouts will include the red robe (left) and tuxedo (right).  The Black-ish star calls the collection “Effortless, colorful, empowered and joyful. That’s the way I would describe myself, how I dress, and Tracee Ellis for J.C. Penney — a mix of colors, strength and whimsy.”
